It started with a single wreath on a kitchen island, but before that... I was a cost engineer in oil and gas. Big projects, long days, and a career that looked successful from the outside. But I missed creating. That first wreath was supposed to be a hobby, something simple to make for my own front door. Then people started asking how I made it. That was the moment everything changed. Not because I sold a wreath, but because I realized other makers needed someone to show them what was possible.
What started at a kitchen island grew into DecoExchange, HowToMakeWreaths.com, and The Makers University with a community of more than a 1,000,000 total makers across Facebook, email, and our private communities. Along the way, I learned what most handmade business owners are never taught. Marketplaces are a channel, not a business. Visibility without a system is just noise. Selling is not the opposite of serving. It is how your work reaches the people it was made for.
I built The Makers University for the maker who knows there is more possible, but does not want to figure it all out alone. You can create beautiful things, but you need a path for what to make, how to share it, how to sell it, and how to build something that lasts. That is what TMU is. A room, a path, and a community for makers who are ready to stop guessing and start building.
